What would you like, children? A Lollipop Android or a piece of pie?

What would you like, children? A Lollipop Android or a piece of pie?

An Android Easter Egg could give us a hint at the name of the next version!

While everybody is waiting for Mr. Sundar Pichai to announce the next Android version at Google I/O 2014, the so called “Lollipop“, we’re still skeptical about the name of the new mobile operating system.

Ok, it has to start with an “L”, but it’s really going to be “Lollipop”? After taking a closer look to an Easter egg from Android 4.4 KitKat, we saw something really interesting…

After tapping on the Android┬áversion in the settings menu, an Android KitKat logo appears. Press on it for a few seconds and a bright and colorful collage shows up, picturing all the Android versions released until now. Still, between all those tasty desserts we already know, we can see some new ones, like a Creme Caramel, a candy cane and some unknown desserts. Also, there’s a piece of pie, said to be the Key Lime Pie we were talking about before KitKat was announced.

Still, could this be a hint related to the upcoming Android version? Will they name it Lemon Pie or Lemon Meringue Pie, instead of Lollipop? This is a very interesting theory, but we’ll have to wait for a few more hours to see if it will turn out true.

What do you opt for? Lollipop or Lemon Pie?
