Looking for a pure Google Experience? Chromebook 2, coming this May

A Samsung laptop with a Google core? Why not…

After last year’s generation of Chromebooks was very well received, Google teamed up with Samsung again and they released the Chromebook 2, a laptop with Google OS, accessible to everyone. It’s also one of the laptops that I’m in love with, but that’s another story.

Coming in two different sizes, 11.6 and 13.3 inches, the ARM-based laptops will go on sale on May 1 and 11, with some price tags which seem more than great: $410 for the smaller model and about $540 for the 13.3 model.

But what do you get for all that money?

Some awesome specs we say: A 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 display, depending on the size, while under the hood Samsung packed its octa-core Exynos 5 processors, running at 1.9 or 2.1 GHz. Both devices come with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, but that’s no problem, since 1TB on Drive is now cheaper than ever.

Oh yeah, and one last aspect that we can’t ignore. Both Chromebooks come with the faux-leather casing, introduced by the Galaxy Note 3, which is a hate-it-or-love-it aspect. It’s up to you in the end.
