Today must be smartwatch rumors day! After the rumors about Microsoft launching a wearable which will apparently run on all three platforms – iOS, Android and Windows Phone – it seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is ready to introduce their first device of this kind.
Apparently, the smartwatch is set for September and will feature a circular design, similar to the Moto 360. The name? HTC One Wear. After the success of the One M7 and One M8, it’s not a surprise that HTC is using their ‘One’ moniker to introduce their first smartwatch.
The tips were given by a reporter from TK Tech News, who claims that he was given a demo unit of the smartwatch and other details, like the official name and the specs. Still, HTC’s CEO, Mr. Cher Want, confirmed the watch for the second half of 2014, but without giving any more details.
Also, HTC was listed by Google as one of its main partners in the new Android Wear project, alongside LG and Motorola, so sooner or later, we will be able to wrap a HTC product around our wrists.
