How to check for new software updates on Android - A quick guide

Make sure your smartphone is running the latest version!
With all the fuzz created around the newly-launched Android L, everybody was talking about software updates for smartphones, so we thought at the not-so-tech-savvy users, who also have the right to enjoy their device at its fullest.
When we’re talking about enjoying it, we also refer to all of its functions and new features, brought by new software updates. But what if they don’t know how to check for updates? Fear no more, as our quick guide will show you how to check if a new Android version is available for your phone and how to install it.
Step 1: Go to the apps menu and select the Settings icon.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap the “About phone”. sub-menu.
Step 3: Select “System updates”.
Step 4: Select “Software update check”.
If there are any updates available for your device, you will be notified. After this, just select “Download”, and, after the process is completed, select “Install” and wait a few minutes.
After the new software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically and it will be ready to use.
